The new Clipse album just released today. Heard its doing pretty well. Word is, a lot of people are having trouble getting it because its already flying off the racks. Thanks to my boss he gave me a copy ;D (Phillip, you the man). I Was listening to it while I was doing some paper work, and I'd say its one of the better albums out this year. Who doesn't wanna listen to Clipse rappn' about slingn' the "Columbian Bam Bam" and Gwapn' Out? It's also supposed to be produced by the Neptunes, but sounds like all of Pharrell's drum beats to me. Didn't hear one ounce of my man Chad on it. (where you at Chad? We need you!) But don't get it twisted... Definately worth coppn'. Two Thumbs Up from Poo and Gogy on this one! (Favorite Tracks: "Chinese New Year"/"Hello New World"/"Keys Open Doors")

Matt Greene "Surrender"-- Deitch Projects -76 grand st.- paintings by mister greene are huge, and the detail is INSANE. the women on the canvases keep your eyes busy, not just cuz they're revealing, but cuz he arranges their body parts as puzzle pieces. The scenes he creates in the background: mystic, surreal, dreamlike, etc etc. Def must see.

Johnathan Borovsky "Human Structures" -- Deitch Projects-- 18 Wooster st.-- picture is self-explanatory. Overrated in our opinion. The structures are big, but thats about it. The viewer cannot interact with the structures. It would've been better if you could walk under them, and if they'd arranged some lighting to complement the transparent and metallic figures. Thennn it would've been DOPE.

If its still showing, go to Artists Space on 38 Greene St, 3rd floor, and view H-edge, a much better metallic structure in our opinion.

We peeped A Guide to Recognizing Your Saints at Angelika Thearte (Houston and Mercer) yesterday and WE RECCOMEND IT. Peep the trailer here. The movie is based on the Autobiographical book by Dito Montiel (book totes the same title as the movie) and traces his childhood/teen years growing up in late 80s Astoria, Queens-- the beef, the shawtys, the weed, the 40s, dreams and the bullshit--- trying to come up/ coming of age. All of us can relate. Its also very funny. And some of the music is dope.

Montiel's directing highlights the tension, stress and pain each character endures throughout the film and the actors do their thing as well: Chazz Palminteri (Bronx Tale, mad italian mob flicks), Rosario Dawson (KIDS,etc) , Robert Downey Jr, Shia LaBeouf, Channing Tatum...and homegirl from Raising Victor Vargas plays Dito's teenage love. Dito struggles to dodge the vices and violence Queens deals him, stay sane, keep his family happy, love, and chill but he seems he can never find a break...until that is....

Originally posted on walls, poles, lamposts etc... throughout Lower Manhattan in early July-- at the height of the hat's popularity in the APPLE-- the Knucklehead Kids sought to end the bullshit.

The technicolor 80s reminiscent hat was thought to be an exclusive item, and maybe for a little while it was... yet everyone was wearing it... where's the exclusivity in that? Kids thought it manifested "Downtown." They'd throw on their hat just to make trips to soho, to broadway, to downtown... So many colors they thought they were chameleons-- thought it could make em fit in. What was supposed to rep exclusivity/heat/individuality became a symbol for CONFORMITY.

FUCK THE HAT.

The message was spread, the tee was made, and the rest is history.

Shout to all those who supported us, came out and bought a tee, and joined the movement. We sincerely appreciate the love. We're hoping that we opened the eyes of people getting stuck in the hype.
